Rising Stars Families,
We are excited to let you know that we will be reopening our recreational classes starting Monday, June 15th! Please know there will be some changes as we follow State, Minnesota Department of Health, and CDC guidelines and mandates.
Class sizes will be limited, and make-ups are discouraged. This is recommended by the MDH and CDC to help contain the spread by having the same children in the same classes each week. It is also due to the limited amount of space we have with new size restrictions. That being said, we understand things come up and sometimes a make-up is unavoidable. Students who register for the summer session will be allowed 2 make-ups.
Preschool and Ninja classes will have a 4:1 ratio, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Master, and Gymnastics for Dancers classes will have a 6:1 ratio, and High School classes will have an 8:1 ratio. Please note that at this time we will not be offering the Li’l Roller and Tiny Twister classes.
The front doors are now entrance only. This is to help keep traffic flow one way. If a parent is coming in to make a payment, sign the “Do My Part” agreement, or watch class, they will go upstairs to exit. Upstairs there are arrows on the floor and signs leading to our emergency exit stairwell. Those stairs will take parents back downstairs to the exit door on the side of the building. This door is also where students will exit after class. If you are picking up your student please wait in your car or meet them by that exit.
We are encouraging drop off/pick up only for older students, but we do have limited viewing available. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your gymnast’s class. If you get to the gym earlier than that we ask that you wait in your vehicle. Parents wishing to stay and watch will be required to use the spaces marked on the floor to indicate social distancing (6 feet apart). Only one parent or guardian is allowed to come into the gym with your gymnast. This also means no siblings.
We are not currently using the cubbies or coat room. These areas make it difficult to practice social distancing. When you child is here for class we ask that the parent or guardian holds on to their shoes and clothing during class. They can still bring their water bottle into the gym.
We have a “Do My Part” agreement form that we need from all families who register for classes. The agreement details what is expected of everyone who enters the gym. No student can participate until we have the signed agreement returned to us. It can be emailed (preferred) or dropped off prior to your child’s first class.
Please review our “Return to Sport” protocol. This protocol talks about the new guidelines and policies that everyone at Rising Stars will follow, from the coaches and staff to parents and gymnasts.
To register for the summer session you can stop by our gym during office hours (Mondays-Fridays 8:30am-12:30pm; Mondays-Thursdays 3:45-8:00pm), email (email@example.com), or call us (651-730-4376) with your gymnast’s level and preferred day/time. If we are unable to answer the phone, please leave a message so we can return your call.
We want to thank everyone for your support, and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon!
